October is upon us here in the farmlands of Central Portugal and with it comes the much-needed fall rains, the clearing away of the last of the summer vegetables from the fields, and the planting of fall crops.
I live in a few rooms up the stone steps on the second level of my little casa. From my perch up here, I can survey the farms behind the stone wall at the edge of my property and watch the seasonal changes.
This is also my afternoon napping settee where Kiitos and I curl up with a book and a cup of coffee and give my eyes a break from the computer. Even during the hottest of summer days, I can almost always find a welcome breeze up on the terrace.
Vibrant colors and a comfortable warm glow. Love this scene, Kristin. - Jim
